Rev. DeBorah Luckett Day

A Canton, Mississippi native, Rev. Dr. DeBorah Luckett Day began public speaking at the age of eight years old, by twelve she accepted Jesus Christ as her savior and began her lifelong service to the church. Deborah has served as an usher, first-aid attendant on the Nurse’s Guild, young adult choir member, Sunday School Teacher, Sunday School Superintendent, President of the Baptist Young Women and Director of Church Training. DeBorah is the founder and president of Mending Vessels Ministry (MVM), a nonprofit dedicated to the well-being of women through intergenerational blessings in faith and health. She is an associate minister at St. John Baptist Church and a part-time chaplain for Railroad Chaplains. DeBorah retired as a Commander in the United States Navy where she served for more than 20 years. A career student, DeBorah received her Doctor of Ministry in Faith and Health in 2014 from Memphis Theological Seminary, where she also served as a Formation for Ministry Leader from 2014 to 2017. She is a published author, poet and freelance writer.  Her first published book is DeBorah’s Reflections, I was thinking….  In addition, DeBorah is the loving wife of Deacon Lindsey Day, the mother of one daughter, and the stepmother of three daughters.
