During the season of Lent, Christians observe forty days of preparation leading to Easter. A time of reflection, repentance, and self-examination, this time in the liturgical year requires that we sit with the brokenness in the world and in our lives, that we confront the discomfort and remember all that Jesus confronted, challenged, and suffered throughout his life and in his dying. Those observing Lent will often fast or abstain from something as an act of discipline and meditation during the season.

To honor this sacred season of our year, the MTS community (students, faculty, and staff) collaborated their various creative gifts to create our version of the Stations of the Cross, which walk through the last days of Jesus’ life leading to the crucifixion.
Below is a video walk-through of the Stations using scripture passages and the accompanying artwork/writings by MTS artist-theologians. We invite you to use this video as a way to meditate on the work of Christ in your life and the world and as a challenge to confront the brokenness.
