About Us

Women in Ministry at Memphis Theological Seminary exists to encourage and equip women called to any form of Christian ministry and to serve as a resource for Memphis Theological Seminary for the edification of the Church and for the thriving of women in ministry.

Women in Ministry partners with programs and colleagues across the Seminay campus, including: Cumberland Presbyterian House of Studies; House of Black Church Studies; Methodist House of studies; and Green Seminary for worship and the arts and many others.

Women in Ministry at MTS holds to the commitments of the Seminary and to the two beliefs that God calls women to Christian ministry and the Church needs God-called, theologically trained women in ministry.

Women in Ministry seeks to serve:

  • MTS female students
  • MTS alumnae
  • MTS friends and affiliates

Mission Statement:

To provide opportunities for women at MTS who do ministry of any kind to experience life in Christ together through CONNECTION, COMMUNITY, AND CONVERSATION, providing a space for bonding in sisterhood, personal growth and maturity, and fulfilling a collective purpose of building God’s kingdom here on earth.
