New Student Orientation
New Student Orientation is designed to aid students in transitioning into student life at Memphis Theological Seminary. Orientation will include informative presentations from administrators, faculty and staff and will provide the opportunity to meet current and other incoming students.
New Student Orientation(NSO) will be held during the Intensive Week,
January 13-16.
Go through the modules below to make sure you have completed all steps that need to be completed prior to NSO:
Module 1: Financial Aid and Scholarships
- Make sure you have completed your 2024-2025 FAFSA. Use the MTS School Code: G10529 so that your FAFSA is sent to MTS for processsing.
- After you’ve completed your FAFSA, your information will take up to 5 days to be sent to our school. Check back after 5 days to view your current Financial Aid Offer letter and requirements by using your CAMS Student Portal > Document Tracking > Financial Aid Offer
- Once you’ve received your Financial Aid Offer Letter, you can schedule an appointment, email financialaid@MemphisSeminary.edu with “New Student Financial Aid Appointment” in the Subject Line.
Your financial aid must be completed no later than, January 3, 2025.
SCHOLARSHIPS

Module 2: Registration
To register, you will need to:
- Contact Dr. Scott Lencke to go over your schedule and to register, click here to schedule appointment
Once you register, you will be able to see your Spring 2025 total tuition costs in your CAMS Student Portal.
9 hours is considered full-time
6 hours is considered part-time
Module 3: Tuition & Fee Payment
If you plan to self-pay, you will need to contact the Bursar, Mary Byrd, to set up your payment arrangements. Payment arrangements must be completed no later than Monday, January 6, 2024.

Module 4: Pre-Orientation Work
There are a few things you will need to do to prepare for orientation and the beginning of your Spring 2025 semester. You will receive an email from CANVAS inviting you to participate in the course Spring 2025 New Student Orientation.
You will need to complete all modules prior to New Student Orientation/NSO.
NSO will be in person.
