Part Time Worship Leader

Duties

• Lead weekly worship sessions, including singing, playing instruments, and coordinating with other musicians and vocalists
• Prepare and rehearse music selections that align with the church’s themes and liturgical calendar
• Foster a welcoming environment by encouraging congregation participation and spiritual engagement during worship
• Mentor and support volunteer musicians and singers, helping them develop their skills and confidence
• Collaborate with pastoral staff to plan worship services that resonate spiritually and culturally
• Communicate effectively with team members about service plans, schedules, and any technical or logistical needs
• Assist in selecting new music and resources that enhance the worship experience while maintaining theological integrity

Requirements

• Proven experience in leading worship or musical leadership within a faith community or similar setting
• Strong teaching skills to guide volunteers and new team members in musical techniques and worship practices
• Excellent communication skills to connect with diverse audiences and foster teamwork among volunteers
• Demonstrated leadership ability to motivate, mentor, and inspire others in a collaborative environment
• Ability to prepare music independently while also working well within a team setting
• Knowledge of contemporary worship music styles as well as traditional hymns is preferred
• Commitment to the church’s mission, values, and spiritual principles

Pay: $20.88 – $25.14 per hour
