Rev. Farris Blount, III

Rev. Farris Blount, III will join the Memphis Theological Seminary faculty as the new Assistant Professor of Theology. Rev. Blount is a PhD candidate in Practical Theology at Boston University School of Theology and the Executive Pastor of Western Avenue Baptist Church in Cambridge, MA. He holds a Master of Divinity from Harvard Divinity School.

Dr. Peter Gathje, Vice President of Academic Affairs/Academic Dean, said, “I am delighted that Rev. Farris Blount is joining the MTS faculty as our new professor of theology. Rev. Blount brings a strong commitment to the church and the importance of theological reflection within the life of the church. He has extensive practical experience in ministry which grounds his own theological work.”
