Memphis Theological Seminary invites applications for a tenure-track position in Wesleyan Studies to begin in fall 2016.  Primary responsibilities include teaching broadly within Wesleyan and pan-Methodist studies, including United Methodist history, doctrine, and polity. MTS is approved by the United Methodist University Senate, and this position will entail supporting the Seminary’s Methodist House of Studies and strengthening relationships with Annual Conferences in the region. The successful candidate may also teach within the areas of church history and/or theology.  Qualifications include a Ph.D. or a Th.D. with a focus on Wesleyan Studies and a commitment to diversity, collegiality, and the life of the church.  Rank is open.
